From September 15 to 20, 2026, IAA Transportation — the world’s largest commercial vehicle exhibition — will kick off in Hannover, Germany. Under the theme “We Deliver,” this year’s show sends a clear signal: the industry is no longer merely envisioning the future, but focusing on solutions that can be delivered. Can technological upgrades bring tangible benefits to actual operations? What solutions do users truly need given the current industry landscape? These are the core questions of this exhibition. Against this backdrop, the participation structure of Chinese commercial vehicle enterprises has undergone a fundamental transformation.
According to official statistics, over 460 Chinese enterprises are exhibiting at this year’s IAA, making them the largest international exhibitor group. One in every five exhibitors comes from China. More notably, the form of Chinese participation has evolved from product-focused vehicle displays two years ago to a full-industry-chain matrix of products + technology + scenarios. Traditional vehicle giants are all in attendance, new forces compete on the same stage, and a dedicated “IAA China Day” is scheduled for September 16 as a core platform for Sino-German commercial vehicle industry engagement. Sinotruk
Shandong Heavy Industry Group will continue its unified exhibition model from 2024, bringing together seven brands including Weichai Power, Sinotruk, Shacman, and Fast for a collective appearance — with the largest booth among Chinese exhibitors, covering the full industry chain of powertrains, vehicle manufacturing, and bus R&D. Sinotruk will display multiple models, led by a new-generation large-battery pure electric tractor as its flagship, comprehensively covering both pure electric and high-efficiency diesel powertrain routes across four categories: tractor, cargo, dump, and premium light truck. Weichai Power will focus on showcasing powertrain technologies including hydrogen fuel cells, high-thermal-efficiency engines, and electric drive axles.
Even more notably, Sinotruk has reached a cooperation agreement with Steyr Automotive to launch truck assembly in Austria, marking that its European localization strategy has entered a substantive implementation phase. Through this partnership, Sinotruk can complete vehicle final assembly within Europe, thereby responding more quickly to regional customer needs, shortening delivery cycles, and reducing tariff and logistics costs.
Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle
Dongfeng Motor is one of the Chinese enterprises most worth watching for hydrogen technology at this exhibition. This central state-owned enterprise, with nearly 30 years of deep involvement in the hydrogen field, has cumulatively put over 10,000 hydrogen vehicles into commercial operation in the Chinese market, accounting for one-third of the domestic share and ranking first globally in hydrogen commercial vehicle ownership. At this year’s Hannover show, Dongfeng Motor brings nearly 30 years of hydrogen technology accumulation, three hydrogen complete vehicle products, and the global debut of a 400kW fuel cell to the international stage, sharing hydrogen solutions with the world under the exhibition proposition “With DONGFENG, Drive Hydrogen.” The underlying technology shared by the three hydrogen vehicles is the T1 commercial vehicle new energy platform, covering three technology routes: pure hydrogen, hydrogen-electric hybrid, and pure electric. Among the platform’s six core modules, the 400kW fuel cell achieves efficiency exceeding 58%; the hydrogen storage module supports a common platform design for gaseous and liquid hydrogen with a range of 1,700km on a single refueling; the electric drive system operates at 1000V with a maximum efficiency of 94.5%; the central domain controller uses AI algorithms to optimize power output; and the integrated thermal management supports over 30 intelligent temperature control modes. Standing at the forefront of the global zero-carbon wave, Dongfeng Motor embraces industrial cooperation with an open attitude, contributing Chinese wisdom to global freight decarbonization and co-creating a green transportation future.
FAW Jiefang

At this exhibition, FAW Jiefang will display the Cortron CS600, Cortron CS600 XXL, Contron CS925 EV, and two mystery models — a total of 5 exhibition vehicles — along with 9 assembly products including the Jiefang GD300 and ER540 power domains. The Cortron CS600 is Jiefang’s seventh-generation truck, equipped with a Jiefang 6DV1 Euro VI engine, paired with a ZF TraXon 2nd-generation transmission and a Jiefang D465 axle, targeting the European long-haul logistics market and strictly complying with EU WVTA type-approval regulations and EU in-use vehicle management regulations. This year’s Hannover show is a key milestone in Jiefang’s Europe entry action plan, and the Cortron CS600 will serve as brand warm-up for the official sale of Jiefang trucks in Europe, building Jiefang’s brand awareness in the European market — definitely worth watching!

In addition, Foton Motor will exhibit global new products including the Galaxus R9, Caven Beacon, and Qimingxing pure electric light truck, along with self-developed core three-electric technologies.
JAC Commercial Vehicles
At this year’s IAA, JAC Commercial Vehicles will also exhibit three models: the SUNRAY PRO pure electric multi-purpose van, and the N42 EV and N90 EV pure electric city light trucks.
Among them, the SUNRAY PRO pure electric multi-purpose van will make its world premiere at the show. Leveraging JAC Motors’ mature electrification technology platform, the new-generation SUNRAY PRO precisely targets the core needs of urban “last-mile” logistics distribution. Chery Commercial Vehicles
At this exhibition, Chery Commercial Vehicles, together with C&C TRUCKS, will officially launch its “Global Integrated Transportation Solution” worldwide in Hannover, simultaneously showcasing the “Electric Phoenix” pure electric heavy truck for fixed-route, medium-short-haul, and high-utilization resource transport scenarios, and the “Cloud Phoenix” (Phoenix REEV) large-battery, small-range-extender heavy truck for cross-regional, medium-long-haul transport and routes with underdeveloped charging networks. Centered on the three key links of vehicles, energy, and operations, Chery Commercial Vehicles and C&C TRUCKS will collectively demonstrate the integrated system capability of “vehicle, solar, storage, charge, swap,” providing more adaptable and implementable green transportation solutions for different countries, infrastructure conditions, and transport scenarios. Meanwhile, Chery Commercial Vehicles and C&C TRUCKS will also complete the first Europe-Africa customer vehicle delivery at this exhibition and sign strategic cooperation agreements with partners, further advancing products and solutions into real operational scenarios for global customers.
Farizon New Energy Commercial Vehicles
At this exhibition, Farizon New Energy Commercial Vehicles will bring three major products. Among them, the Farizon Homtruck (Xinghan H) European-version pure electric tractor is a dedicated new energy heavy truck product built for overseas markets as part of Farizon’s brand globalization strategy. The vehicle delivers outstanding energy efficiency with a range exceeding 500 kilometers and is equipped with a first-class-level luxury cab, offering a comfortable and premium driving experience. At the same time, the Farizon Xingxiang V7E and the world’s first natively developed pure electric large van — the Farizon Super VAN — will also appear together. The latter has earned a Euro NCAP five-star safety rating, making it the highest-rated Chinese model in its segment, delivering more efficient, comfortable, and versatile vehicle usage for users.
BYD Commercial Vehicles

In the global new energy commercial vehicle field, BYD has established a solid market position. This enterprise, with years of deep involvement in Europe, previously focused its European product launches on electric trucks and buses such as the ETM6 and ETH8. At this exhibition, the market widely expects BYD to unveil a brand-new 4×2 pure electric tractor. From the European test spy shots that have emerged, the vehicle is equipped with EU-spec blind-spot monitoring radar, a digital mirror system, and a high-roof sleeper cab specifically designed for long-haul trunk transport — configurations never before seen on previous BYD models. In addition, BYD will provide free shuttle buses for the exhibition, listed alongside Daimler Bus and MAN, which speaks volumes about BYD’s strong market position.
Subao Heavy Truck (SPEED)
If traditional giants demonstrate large-scale manufacturing and full-industry-chain integration capabilities, then China’s new commercial vehicle forces bring another kind of disruption: redefining the truck through software and electrical/electronic architecture. Subao (SPEED) is a typical representative. Two years ago, this brand — founded only two years prior — made its first IAA appearance; in 2026, its flagship eTopas 600 has begun production in Austria. The vehicle is equipped with a 621kWh battery, an 876V high-voltage architecture, dual motors delivering 394kW continuous power and 692kW peak power, and adopts dual-gun CCS charging technology with a maximum charging power of 660kW, capable of charging from 20% to 80% in 38 minutes. From its first appearance to European production, Subao has completed the leap from “technology showcase” to “local manufacturing” in just two years.
Skyworth Auto
At this exhibition, Skyworth Auto will make its first appearance, officially launching its intelligent commercial vehicle strategy and next-generation product matrix to the world. Among them, the Skyworth Z9 intelligent unmanned heavy truck, integrating pure electric drive with an L4 autonomous driving architecture, has attracted significant industry attention. Also on display are five models including the L4 unmanned garbage truck G18 and the L4 intelligent shuttle bus Urban Elf Robobus. From home appliances to intelligent commercial vehicles, Skyworth’s path may be unique, but it also reflects the rapid industrialization capability of China’s intelligent driving technology.
GAC Lingcheng
Even more notably, GAC Lingcheng will make its first appearance at the IAA Transportation in Hannover, Germany, centrally showcasing innovative products, cutting-edge technologies, and open ecosystem achievements across its new energy heavy-duty and light commercial vehicle business segments.
SANY Heavy Truck
Brands including SANY Heavy Truck will also bring multiple new products to the exhibition, showcasing to the world the green and intelligent product strength of Chinese commercial vehicles and sending a clear signal: Chinese enterprises are undisputed leaders in the green and intelligent commercial vehicle race.

Looking back at IAA 2024, Chinese enterprises relied more on “astonishing technical specifications” to attract attention. By 2026, the question has shifted from “how strong are Chinese trucks” to “how Chinese trucks stay in Europe.” Currently, Chinese enterprises hold a 20%–30% share in the European electric bus market. According to industry statistics, EU electric heavy truck sales reached 12,858 units in 2025, up 72.3% year-on-year. Through the window of electrification, will the European truck market follow the electrification trajectory of the bus market? The collective appearance of over 460 Chinese exhibitors at this year’s IAA already provides an answer from one perspective.
