Yang Qing, Chairman and Party Secretary of Dongfeng Motor Group; Zhang Hansheng, member of the Standing Committee of the Shiyan Municipal Party Committee, head of the United Front Work Department and Vice Mayor; Li Shaohua and Wu Huaizhu, Deputy Secretaries-General of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers; Liu Licheng, General Manager of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicles, and Zeng Miao, Party Committee Secretary, along with other members of the management team, representatives of the Volvo Group, leaders of governments at all levels, domestic and overseas customer representatives, domestic and overseas dealer partners, strategic supplier partners, ecosystem partners and authoritative media — a total of 1,500 people — witnessed the launch of the all-new Green-Smart Platform, jointly starting a new engine of global multi-energy smart logistics.

At the start of the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, the commercial vehicle industry’s transformation has entered a critical acceleration phase. At the conference, Li Shaohua delivered a speech on behalf of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, extending warm congratulations on the grand conference. He stressed that as green, intelligent, platform-based and global become industry consensus, the market is shifting from simply competing on hardware performance to competing around users’ full-lifecycle value. The industry calls for a new-generation commercial vehicle platform with native architecture, multi-power compatibility and rapid scenario-based iteration. The all-new Green-Smart Platform unveiled today is the all-new generation modular strategic platform developed by Dongfeng Commercial Vehicles for the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, and an important practical achievement of Chinese commercial vehicle independent innovation.
Yang Qing delivered a speech on behalf of Dongfeng Motor Group, saying that Dongfeng Commercial Vehicles’ layout and practices in new energy, digitalization and hydrogen operation ecosystems in recent years are commendable. Liu Licheng delivered a speech on behalf of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicles, pledging to resolutely implement the group’s strategic deployment of "Three Leaps, One New Direction" and write a new chapter of high-quality development. Liu Licheng further elaborated: facing the critical period of deep transformation in the commercial vehicle industry, Dongfeng Commercial Vehicles will open a greener and smarter new realm of commercial vehicles with a multi-energy layout, digital capability, an all-new platform and an open ecosystem. Through "one platform, five pillars," it provides a holistic solution: the one platform is the all-new Green-Smart Platform, namely the D600 platform. Developed over five years across 11 parallel projects, it covers five energy routes — fuel, gas, electric, hydrogen and ammonia; spans 34 market segments and 143 typical scenarios; is compatible with 5 global regulatory systems and 28 key countries; and reduces energy consumption by 8% compared with "oil-to-electric conversion" models. The five pillars — products, refueling/recharging, finance, service and digital intelligence — together constitute a complete closed loop from vehicle purchase to operation, from energy supply to recycling. It also provides full-scenario delivery, packaging "vehicle, electricity, station, finance, service and digital intelligence" as a complete set for every scenario.
Comprehensive Leap: Platform Capabilities Address Truckers’ Concerns
At the core of the conference, Xiang Xusheng, Assistant General Manager of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicles and Director of the Technology Center, shared Dongfeng’s thinking on the future of new-energy commercial vehicles and the full-scenario solutions enabled by the new Green-Smart Platform. He mentioned that at the beginning of platform development, the team traveled to 63 cities, lived, ate and worked with more than 700 users, and collected over 2,300 needs and feedback items, turning needs into subjects and implementing them to the fullest — truly exceeding what truckers need. Today’s launch of the "green, smart, full-scenario, multi-energy, integrated, global Green-Smart Platform" is precisely a result co-created with customers and partners.
He stressed that the platform is not a compromise of "oil-to-electric conversion," but a new-energy-exclusive platform positively defined from underlying hardware and customer scenario needs. "Green" focuses on native physical architecture, native control architecture and core three-electric systems, with innovative upgrades that are safe and reliable; "smart" includes smart full-domain collaboration, Smart Home, Smart Guardian and intelligent driving, escorting customers’ efficient operation on every journey; "full-scenario" represents a complete product matrix covering all transport scenarios under the platform. Together with top industry partners, it builds a solid smart transport-capacity ecosystem foundation, aggregating top industry ecosystems to empower a global intelligent platform.
He said that Dongfeng’s new Green-Smart Platform respects the value of every user, every kilowatt-hour, every inch of space and every kilometer. He expressed willingness to join hands with truckers and partners to embark on the Green-Smart new realm together.
Guided by Xiang Xusheng, two star models representing green and intelligence made their appearances: the Dongfeng Tianlong KH hydrogen tractor — benchmark of long-haul hydrogen transport — and the Dongfeng Tianlong KH pure electric tractor — benchmark of regional pure electric value, drawing rounds of applause.
Notably, Liu Yi, Assistant General Manager of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicles and General Manager of the Marketing Business Division, signed letters of intent for 8,700 units of commercial vehicles with 10 strategic customers on behalf of the company, covering ammonia fuel, hydrogen fuel, pure electric, intelligent driving and overseas markets. This is direct market validation of the Green-Smart Platform’s commercial viability and a vivid footnote to the achievements of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicles’ green-smart strategy.
Full-Series Iteration: Multi-Energy Full-Scenario Intelligent Solutions
In the outdoor display area, a "time corridor" laid out the 57-year chronicle and historic models of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicles — from the first-generation military vehicle to today’s all-new Green-Smart Platform, unfolding the struggle history of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicles. Eighteen display vehicles covered the multi-energy layout of oil, gas, electric, hydrogen and ammonia, serving full-scenario transport from trunk logistics, resource transport, agricultural and sideline bulk cargo to express and fast freight. Focusing on green new energy, there were models such as the Dongfeng Tianlong KH hydrogen, KH pure electric, KL battery-swap/ultra-fast-charging and KL pure ammonia hybrid; focusing on intelligent driving, the Dongfeng Tianlong KH L2+ intelligent driving and GX Super assisted driving models; focusing on overseas markets, the Dongfeng Tianlong GX Super pure electric/hydrogen tractors meeting European regulatory requirements. Nine exhibits focused on multi-energy, hydrogen, digitalization and platform technologies, including the DAi14 ammonia internal combustion engine, two electric drive axles, a 300kW hydrogen fuel cell system, two high-safety battery packs, a thermal management integrated module, domain controller assemblies and the DEA3.0 electrical/electronic architecture — comprehensively showcasing Dongfeng Commercial Vehicles’ hard-core technology reserves in the green-smart field.
