On September 14, IAA TRANSPORTATION 2026 opened grandly in Hannover, Germany. On the first day of the expo, Foton Motor held its globalization strategy and new product launch event, officially releasing its flagship new-energy heavy truck, the CAVAN BEACON. Aimed at dry-line logistics scenarios, the CAVAN BEACON builds a systematic product capability around three core dimensions: ultra-fast charging energy replenishment, lightweight load capacity, and million-kilometer durability.

Megawatt Ultra-Charging: Integrating Replenishment into the Transport Rhythm
For pure-electric heavy trucks, replenishment efficiency directly determines whether the vehicle can smoothly fit into existing transport rhythms. The shorter the replenishment time, the less extra downtime caused by charging, and the more assured the operating efficiency of the fleet.
The CAVAN BEACON supports ultra-charging of up to 1.44 MW, taking just 18 minutes to charge from 20% to 80%, and adding 100 km of range in just 6 minutes of charging; the hydrogen fuel-cell variant takes 15 minutes to refuel for a range of up to 1,000 km.

The 18-minute replenishment further compresses charging downtime, reduces extra stops, and makes it easier to fit into the existing operating rhythm of trunk-line transport.
Being Able to "Carry More" While "Running Economically"
For new-energy heavy trucks, the extra weight of the power battery directly affects the usable payload; at the same time, energy consumption is also related to long-term operating costs.

Through 62 new materials, new structures and new processes, the CAVAN BEACON achieves a vehicle weight reduction of more than 500 kg; the integrated tractor-trailer streamlined design brings the optimal drag coefficient down to 0.28, and combined with powertrain and thermal management optimization, cuts total vehicle energy consumption by 15%.
Lightweighting leaves more margin for payload, while lower energy consumption directly reduces energy use over the same transport distance — the two technologies work together on fleet payload and energy costs.
Million-Kilometer Durability for Longer Operating Cycles

Heavy trucks operate under intense conditions, and the lifespan of core new-energy components directly affects downtime, replacement and asset utilization efficiency. The CAVAN BEACON’s fuel-cell stack and electric drive axle both have a B10 life of more than 1.6 million km, and the 677 kWh battery module supports 2 million km of lifespan.
Million-kilometer durability brings core component life closer to the vehicle’s long-term operating cycle, reducing the impact of premature replacement of core systems on operational continuity.
