On September 14, the 2026 IAA Transportation exhibition opened in Hannover, Germany. As the world’s largest and most influential commercial vehicle event, BYD made its heavyweight debut with the all-electric tractor ETT44 equipped with 1.5 MW charging technology, alongside the rigid truck ETH28 Swap Body & Hooklift, the terminal tractor EYT2.0, the light commercial vehicle E-VALI and the small truck T35 (European version). Leveraging its vertically integrated advantages and core new-energy technologies, BYD covers the full tonnage range from 3.5 to 44 tonnes, matching diverse scenarios such as urban delivery, construction and long-haul logistics, and supporting Europe’s zero-carbon transition in commercial transport.

1.5 MW Charging: All-Electric Tractor ETT44 Makes a Stunning Debut
As BYD’s flagship heavy-duty all-electric tractor built for the European market, the ETT44 integrates high performance, megawatt fast charging, high safety and human-centric design, and is tailored for long-haul trunk-line transport. With a vehicle weight of 11.12 tonnes, it features eight-in-one electronic control and an integrated electric drive axle, with a flat-wire dual-motor peak power of up to 750 kW (1,000 hp). Thanks to the CTC battery-chassis integration technology, it can carry 500 kg more cargo than comparable models. Equipped with the commercial-vehicle dedicated blade battery in 434 kWh and 651 kWh options, it delivers a maximum range of up to 600 km.

In charging, the ETT44 supports 1.5 MW high-power charging, replenishing from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes, while remaining compatible with Europe’s mainstream CCS2 charging system — effectively solving the charging bottleneck of heavy-duty truck electrification.
In safety, the truck has earned the five-star rating from Euro NCAP, becoming the first heavy-duty truck from outside the EU to pass the certification, and the world’s first all-electric tractor to receive it. Euro NCAP is the world’s strictest third-party vehicle safety rating program, used to evaluate and guide the development of automotive safety technology. This certification fully reflects BYD’s commitment to high quality and high safety standards, safeguarding safe mobility for users worldwide with hard-core safety strength.

From 3.5 to 44 Tonnes: BYD Delivers a Holistic New-Energy Ecosystem Solution
All models on display are built on BYD’s self-developed core technologies and full-industry-chain vertical integration, covering multi-scenario commercial transport needs. Among them, the EYT2.0 terminal tractor has entered commercial operation at ports and hubs in Germany, the Netherlands, France and other countries, gaining market recognition for its stable and reliable performance; the T35 small truck (Europe) and E-VALI light commercial vehicle precisely match urban delivery and last-mile logistics scenarios.

The Swap Body and Hooklift vehicles built on the ETH28 platform meet differentiated needs such as regional logistics, engineering construction and sanitation operations, with fast-charging capability and high power output that suit high-frequency commercial operations.
