Intelligent Brain: Perception & Decision-Making System
For perception and decision-making, the Intelligent Brain adopts a dual-model synergy of BEV and AI PLANNER large models with an AI computing power exceeding 500 TOPS, complying with ASIL-D automotive functional safety standards.
Technical documents confirm the system identifies hundreds of road object categories with millisecond-level sensing response, covering over 99% of regular and complicated urban driving scenarios, and achieving a 98% match rate against human-like driving behaviors.
Safety Skeleton: Fully Redundant Drive-by-Wire Chassis
The Safety Skeleton consists of a fully redundant drive-by-wire chassis with dual backup for braking, steering and power supply systems. It delivers angular precision within 0.1° and a control cycle shorter than 10 ms, enabling risk prediction more than 3 seconds in advance. Heterogeneous redundant subsystems take over vehicle control within milliseconds upon main-system failure. OpenVAN has passed more than 1,000 validation tests on components, subsystems and complete vehicles.
Digital Nerve: 5G Cloud-Control Architecture
Built on 5G cloud-control technology, the Digital Nerve supports ultra-low-latency millisecond-level communication. It enables one operator to remotely supervise up to 200 vehicles nonstop all year round and coordinate over 100,000 units running concurrently. Fully connected to the vehicle-road-cloud integrated network, it realizes beyond-line-of-sight perception and global centralized decision-making.
Dongfeng adopts an open-platform development strategy: Dongfeng leads whole-vehicle platform development and production, while full-stack customization of the Level‑4 autonomous driving system is jointly completed with strategic partners such as Jiusi Intelligence.
