Standing at the historic moment of green transformation and intelligent innovation in the global commercial vehicle industry, FAW Jiefang is accelerating its transformation into a green and intelligent transport solutions provider, marching firmly toward a century-old commercial vehicle brand that is technology-led, green and low-carbon, and globally serving. At this exhibition, FAW Jiefang presents its latest technology achievements and solutions, exploring the infinite possibilities of green and intelligent transport with industry partners, and warmly welcomes guests and partners to stop by, engage in in-depth exchanges, explore business opportunities and discuss the future.

Forward-Looking Launch: Li Sheng Unveils the TL.X Concept Truck

Li Sheng noted that this IAA’s theme, “WE DELIVER,” aligns closely with FAW Jiefang’s development philosophy. “WE” represents FAW Jiefang’s consistent stance of viewing the industry as a whole, coordinating with upstream and downstream supply chain partners, and providing complete solutions around users’ full lifecycle needs. “DELIVER” is FAW Jiefang’s eternal pursuit—from 1956 to 2026 and on to 2036, FAW Jiefang has always been committed to “engineering the next horizon, delivering the next journey.” At this show, FAW Jiefang brings a lineup of mature, deliverable mass-production products covering diesel, NG, hybrid, battery-electric and hydrogen energy pathways, including tractors, cargo trucks, dump trucks and special-purpose vehicles, meeting the multi-scenario needs of European customers with proven strength.

As the centerpiece of the FAW Jiefang booth events, Li Sheng solemnly unveiled the TL.X forward-looking concept truck. Li Sheng pointed out that in the future, AI technology will empower countless industries, carbon neutrality pressure will intensify, and the “person-vehicle-cargo-road-cloud” transport industry ecosystem will place higher demands on vehicles. Facing the three main transformation threads—intelligence, greening and ecosystem—FAW Jiefang is committed to exploring three universal industry questions: “How can heritage endure and be renewed amid the collision of tradition and the technology wave?” “How can a flexible whole-vehicle architecture meet personalized needs across multiple powertrains and driving spaces?” and “How can operating returns and driving quality be balanced?” The TL.X is FAW Jiefang’s forward-looking concept truck for 2036, reflecting deep consideration of “how commercial vehicles deliver higher value” in the future. “T” is drawn from Tron, the universal root of FAW Jiefang’s overseas products, and is the brand’s exclusive identifier; “L” stands for Leading, conveying FAW Jiefang’s pursuit of advancing the industry with leading technology; “X” symbolizes the infinite possibilities of pioneering the future logistics and transport industry. Using the TL.X concept truck as a carrier, FAW Jiefang anchors three directions—heritage and renewal, personalized customization, and full-vehicle intelligence—solving each question in turn, paying tribute to the classics while bringing renewal, achieving “freedom of space” and “freedom of energy,” and completing “intelligent interaction, intelligent execution and intelligent evolution.” Li Sheng emphasized that FAW Jiefang will build the TL.X into an open, shared technology ecosystem platform from three dimensions—sharing, co-creation and win-win. For the global commercial vehicle industry, FAW Jiefang will also uphold its original aspiration of “engineering the next horizon,” continuously delivering Chinese solutions and Jiefang strength filled with creativity and warmth.

Series Production Delivery: CORTRON CS Product Showcase

In the afternoon, FAW Jiefang held a CORTRON CS product showcase at its booth. The CORTRON CS is built on FAW Jiefang’s seventh-generation heavy truck platform and is about to launch and begin formal deliveries in the European market. Bernhard, an expert from FAW Jiefang’s Austrian R&D Center, introduced the CORTRON CS product features using two diesel tractors on-site—the CS600 and CS600XXL—and the CS925 battery-electric tractor as representatives. ECS test engineer Hans Deinhofer, ZF R&D head Des O’Regan, and dealer Mark Aubrey successively shared their testing and usage experiences with the CORTRON CS, confirming from a third-party perspective that the CORTRON CS matches the product strength of Europe’s top heavy trucks. On the evening of September 14 local time, FAW Jiefang will also hold a brand night event. From September 15 to 16, FAW Jiefang will successively hold hydrogen powertrain and battery-electric powertrain launch events, and deliver a speech at the China Day event.
