In heavy commercial vehicles, GAC Lingcheng joined forces with two leading ecosystem partners—Pony.ai and Aulton New Energy—to present L4 autonomous driving and high-efficiency battery swapping built on the T9 platform. In light commercial vehicles, the brand-new MONTX made its overseas debut, unveiling the P10 and V10 concept vehicles, announcing its technology architecture and a global user co-creation program, while the current production pickup SMILODON Pro also appeared. Through its dual heavy-and-light commercial vehicle layout and the concentrated presentation of open ecosystem cooperation, GAC Lingcheng outlined its growth outlook and vast potential for the global market. GAC Lingcheng originates from the mature joint-venture system of GAC Hino, with nearly two decades of deep engagement in commercial vehicles, and has built a solid foundation in R&D, manufacturing and quality management. In terms of business, GAC Lingcheng has formed a dual-wheel-drive development pattern of “heavy commercial + light commercial.” The heavy commercial business focuses on new energy heavy trucks, continuously solidifying its core base; the light commercial business uses the all-new MONTX brand as a vehicle to explore new scenarios, new demands and new categories for global users, opening up new growth space. For the commercial vehicle industry, the significance of technological innovation is ultimately reflected in operating value. Centered on real logistics operating scenarios, GAC Lingcheng uses the T9 as a platform to deeply integrate new energy whole-vehicle technology with L4 autonomous driving and high-efficiency battery swapping, transforming advanced technology into measurable operating value. In intelligent driving, the T9 Robotruck is equipped with Pony.ai’s fourth-generation L4 autonomous truck system and GAC Lingcheng’s full-redundancy steer-by-wire chassis, integrating reliability, stability and excellent three-electric technology to achieve all-scenario, safe and reliable, full-grade cost-reducing, energy-saving and environmentally friendly unmanned freight.
T9 Robotruck: Autonomous Driving Domain Controller
It is equipped with Pony.ai’s full-automotive-grade autonomous driving suite, including 9 LiDARs, 3 millimeter-wave radars and 13 cameras. Compared with the previous generation system, hardware cost has dropped 70%, and autonomous driving cost per ton-kilometer has fallen by approximately 30%, providing more efficient solutions for high-frequency scenarios such as trunk logistics, dedicated-route logistics and port transport. He Xing, Vice President of Pony.ai and General Manager of its Truck Division, said: “The global debut of the T9 Robotruck will further accelerate the transition of autonomous trucks from mass production to scaled commercial operation.”
In efficient energy replenishment, the T9 battery-swap version is equipped with an e-axle and a 603 kWh LFP battery, with a maximum range of 475 km and comprehensive energy consumption as low as 1.2 kWh/km. Leveraging Aulton New Energy’s swapping system, whole-vehicle swap time is reduced to approximately 3–5 minutes, greatly cutting vehicle downtime and improving uptime, operating hours and revenue. Qu Wengeng, General Manager of Aulton’s Overseas Division, said: “Vehicles in high-frequency operations are highly focused on efficiency and cost. Charging and swapping are complementary solutions for different scenarios. For fixed-route, high-frequency commercial transport where vehicle utilization demands are higher, battery swapping has unique value.”

As GAC Lingcheng’s all-new light commercial vehicle brand, MONTX carries the important mission of expanding GAC Lingcheng into light commercial vehicles, new categories and new global user groups. Du Peiyuan shared at the launch: “MONTX aims to break traditional automotive definitions of categories and scenarios, allowing one vehicle to move freely between work, life and exploration, carrying people’s changing needs and imagination, and becoming a truly all-domain cross-over new species—opening more possibilities for global users to freely expand their careers and lives.”

At the launch, two MONTX concept vehicles appeared simultaneously, interpreting the brand’s all-domain aesthetics, all-domain adaptability and all-domain intelligence through different forms. The MONTX P10, positioned as an “all-domain stereoscopic mobility platform,” targets explorers, outdoor workers and users in extreme scenarios. Relying on four-wheel distributed drive, a camp AI steward and intelligent trailer functions, it confidently handles complex terrain and unknown environments, providing a wider operating radius and stronger scenario adaptability for uninhabited-area exploration, scientific expeditions and off-road crossing—showcasing a new vision of future light commercial vehicles for extreme performance and all-domain adaptability.
MONTX P10 and MONTX V10
The MONTX V10, positioned as an “all-domain mobile ready-outfitting cabin,” focuses on the needs of digital nomads, creators and residential travelers for mobile living spaces. Through modular space design, a sliding-wheel dual-cabin and field self-circulation features, it enables free switching between work, rest, socializing and exploration, extending the vehicle from a mere mobility tool into a comprehensive platform for mobile office, residential living and community connection—creating more flexible and free lifestyles for users.
The two concept vehicles represent MONTX’s exploration of future light commercial vehicle scenarios and value, and demonstrate MONTX’s product innovation capability in developing new categories and scenarios for global users. On-site, MONTX also launched the all-new ADAA (All-Domain Adaptive Architecture). Built on three core advantages—native all-energy, native body-on-frame, native adaptive—ADAA uses a single architecture to cover multiple energy forms, vehicle forms and application scenarios, greatly improving product development efficiency and rapidly responding to differentiated demands in global markets, providing solid support for MONTX to continuously develop new categories, new scenarios and global markets.
